Evelyn's stained glass cross quilt

Still on the quilting frame here!
 This quilt was made by Evelyn Sprier and her skill at applique work never ceases to amaze me.  The picture doesn't do it justice! 
 The quilting doesn't show up in the pictures, but it is intensely quilted.    Most of the lines are less than 1/2" apart.  It is a small quilt (wallhanging size).
 The picture below shows the quilting much better.  I used yellow, green, red, deep purple, and royal blue thread to match the the fabrics.
 It is always so nice to finish something, even if it belongs to someone else!
