This is Carol's fashion toes yarn. It is 90% superwash merino and 10% nylon. She will have happy feet!
This is the Aran Marl yarn that I got. It is 100% wool and very soft. The tough part will be deciding which of two patterns I should use! At $1.49 per 50 gm skein, I figured I wouldn't be out too much for a first time sweater for myself!
I think the worst part of ordering over the internet is choosing a color. Sometimes it's not quite as it looked in the picture, but I am thrilled!
I got only 3 skeins of this "easy wool" in a dk weight. I can't remember why. It may have been for another baby sweater like the tan one I just finished. It is machine wash and dry, so being easy care would be handy for that purpose.

ReplyDeleteLynn sent out an email for me to everyone in our group a couple of weeks ago. It had a link to Smiley's yarn. This is the second time I have ordered from them. I found good quality at bargain prices. Just google Smiley's yarn. The Aran Marl was only on sale until the 18th of October, and is now $3 instead of $1.49 a skein. They have eyelash yarns, boucles, Mohair, cotton,wool and wool blends at prices that are usually more than 50% off. Minimum order is $50, but the shipping is a flat rate of $13, so it would be sooo cheap if a lot of people put an order together.
