Easy street is on it's way to a finished quilt!

I'm tempted to name this the grapes of wrath.
The top 2 pictures show the center of the quilt and the next ones show the borders added.  Yesterday I added the last border which is kind of a marbled pattern with virtually every shade of turqoise.  I wanted to include all the colors from the center of the quilt in the border without purchasing any new fabrics.  I'm now working on using up most of the leftovers in a pieced back.  I have struggled for several days to find a new way to post my pictures.  The way I have done it for previous posts was no longer working.  I am computer-challenged and so I was soooo excited to get these pictures posted today!

  4. Gail, I tried to reply to your comment on my blog, but your setting is for a "no reply". That means I cannot respond to your comment, so I don't know how to contact you except here. If you didn't choose to be a "no reply" blogger then you are one because that is the default setting on blogger accounts. If you don't know how to change it so that you can get replies from people, go to my blog again, scroll down to the very bottom and click on the red "no reply blogger" button. It links you to a blog where they explain how to change your setting so that people can respond to you when you leave comments on their blog. I'd like to make contact. : )

    1. I worked on this for a LONG time this morning trying to find the red "no reply blogger" button you mentioned. I am now quite confident it does not exist. I had my friend try to reply to a post on her "bed of roses" blog, and she had no problem with it. I was ready to give up when she suggested I google no reply blogger. Wooooo Whoooooo!!!! I found the tutorial you spoke of... in fact I found a bunch of tutorials, and in the process found out that I have the "old blogger" settings. Amazing! I thought I had new blogger stuff since I have only been doing this for less than a year. Anyway... to cut the story short, will you try once again, because I believe I have fixed the problem! Thanks, Gail

  7. Beautiful Easy Street quilt! Your post are lovely,I too am new to blogging, my New Years goal, along with quilting more. It is so fun to see all the various colors from our quilts, how do you plan to quilt your top? My mom decided to stitch in the ditch, as we have reg. sized machines, I am tempted to hand quilt it, as it would be the largest quilt I have made, and free motioning may be quite a challenge.enjoy your day and continue with the post, think of all the things we can learn this year and share!
